We have a place for you at The Center
Volunteers are at the center of all we do. More than 80 volunteers are involved on a weekly or monthly basis in a variety of meaningful capacities. Since 2005, volunteers have volunteered more than 15,000 hours to help make The Center's programming impact possible. This level of support is not only good for our budget, but it’s also a good way to tell our youth that we care.
Despite our many volunteers, we always need more…
This is where you come in.
When you volunteer, you can get in the center of the energy that happens when people roll up their sleeves and say they want to be part of change for the good.
The Center for Whitley County Youth invites you to invest in our community by investing in our youth. There are opportunities in all kinds of areas. Share a skill or hobby of yours, plan games and sports, teach arts and crafts, or help kids grow in their fitness or leadership. We need homework help and meal prep, but most importantly, we need caring adults that can be good listeners, offer encouragement / challenge, and engage on a personal level. We are always looking for volunteers passionate about activities such as recreation and sports, arts and crafts, fitness, martial arts, drama, dance, music, leadership development, fundraising, special events, chaperoning, computer literacy training, clerical support and more!
We believe that a successful volunteer partnership matches your skills and time commitments to the needs of The Center and our youth. Though not all opportunities are listed on the volunteer Web site (see below), several of the significant needs are listed and described. Find a volunteer opportunity at the link below, or contact our office to speak with one of our staff.
