The LifeWise & Center Partnership

Lifewise is a national nonprofit with rapidly expanding sites around the country.  The Center has collaborated with Lifewise to pilot the first Lifewise site in Whitley County in 2022 with plans to continue partnering to open a Lifewise opportunity at every elementary in the county.

What is LifeWise?

LifeWise is a Released Time Religious Instruction (RTRI) program that provides Bible-based character education to public school students. Under RTRI laws, students can be released from public school during the school day to attend religious classes, provided the program is off-school property, privately funded, and parent-permitted. The LifeWise curriculum is designed to take students through the entire Bible, beginning in Genesis and ending in Revelation, over the course of five years. Each lesson reviews a Bible passage and a “Living LifeWise” character trait. The lessons’ order and activities are flexible and can be modified as the teacher finds necessary.
