We are sad to confirm that the 2020 Cook-Off has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though it is disappointing to all of us, we are remembering more than ever WHY we put all the time and energy into this event:
  • It helps us build connection and community
  • It's a unique opportunity to meet and celebrate students, and to hear stories of how they are growing and learning
  • It gives YOU a chance to consider how you can be involved in helping local teens feel supported, connected, and challenged
  • We CAN NOT replace the food and gathering in a virtual way but...
  • We CAN thank the Cooking Teams who had already committed and ask that you support them with your patronage in these tough times:
  • Shawnanigans Catering
  • Daniel Menu & Party Consulting
  • Crossroads Inn
  • We CAN thank our sponsors from last year (and many have chosen to continue their support this year even without the event)
  • We CAN celebrate students and their stories (See Skiler's story below!)
  • We CAN say thank you for past support and offer an opportunity for you to consider how to be involved again this year
  • Teen's need for support and connection right now has increased, not decreased
  • Our team has been innovative and active in reaching out to students and creating opportunities to connect with caring adults and each other
  • We recognize the uncertainty and difficulty of these times for many of us, while also acknowledging that The Center still needs your support to maintain connection in the present, and prepare for opportunities in the future
